Encuentro con Mexico worked through the human development methodology, which places people at the center of our action. It is about the person deciding to develop their potential, increase their possibilities, and enjoy living the life they value, visualizing themselves as responsible and with the ability to transform their problems into solutions.

To achieve a complete social transformation, we work with each individual in three dimensions:

  1. Mentality: Make the person leave the subsistence cycle on their own free will and action
  2. Intentionality: promote actions that arise from the role of the person for the detonation of their transformation
  3. Capabilities: provide both technical and practical tools that make it possible to achieve the life they want.

The complete development of mentality, intentionality, and capacity occurs through actions of the programs and the close accompaniment of the volunteers who, as promoters, seek to understand the activity and the key behaviors of the person to generate a strategy that leads to the transformation processes.

Indigenous Entrepreneurship

Objective: Induce the person to leave the subsistence cycle through their own transformation into their own economic project, allowing them to change their mentality, intent, and capacities to achieve economic self-sufficiency in the life they value by working in a process of closeness that includes productive activity and key behaviors of people.

Projects:

  1. Training for work and local entrepreneurship.
Training for work consists of entrepreneurship days where people from the community are summoned to consolidate a viable economic project and adapt to their conditions and possibilities by awakening the illusions of their life. Technical skills workshops give the person abilities to achieve their project.
  2. Local entrepreneurship through consultancies accompanies each entrepreneur in the day-to-day of their initiative, strengthening their mentality, intentionality, and capacities until they consolidate their business. And, through financing, it relies on the investment necessary to provide it with the basic infrastructure. This program seeks to be self-sustaining by supporting the commercialization of part of the products of each of the undertakings as well as the payment of the loan.

Educational Boost

Objective: To enhance linguistic, mathematical, exploration, and understanding capacities of the natural and social world, as well as personal development and coexistence.

Projects:

Stage 1. Primary: It seeks to strengthen the “l” educational process in the classroom and outside of it by accompanying the local teachers daily to support them in the classroom. The school regularization workshop provides personalized and constant follow-up to children in the areas where they need to improve, focusing on children in fifth and sixth grade to consolidate the knowledge and skills developed during the process that allows them to enter the next stage formative.

The family education workshop generates awareness in parents about the priority of their children’s education.

In one week, the education days strengthen the basic knowledge acquired during a semester through recreational-educational activities. And finally, Camp EM creates a play space in which children from different communities can develop resilience based on creativity, self-worth, and the appreciation of others in an environment of closeness, trust, and affection.

Stage 2. Secondary and preparatory: grants school scholarships to study in municipal capitals or boarding schools to children who have completed the primary stage and wish to continue their studies and provide accompaniment to parents in this process.

Health for all

Objective: Reduce the number of diseases in the area through medical conferences and workshops focused on better nutrition and disease prevention to promote people’s healthy development
